Acrylic on wood by Ali Mimoune (1956 - ) representing a striking composition of a dreamlike gathering of vividly rendered, stylized figures. Two expressive characters occupy the foreground, their elaborate head coverings and richly decorated garments creating a strong visual presence. A monumental, fantastical creature stretches across the background, while ornamental plants, patterns and symbolic details fill the surrounding space. The deliberately simplified forms, unusual proportions and intense combination of red, yellow, green and blue lend the work a playful yet mysterious atmosphere. 

Ali Mimoune (1956 - ) is a Moroccan artist whose work is closely associated with the imaginative and intuitive tradition of Moroccan Art Brut. Based in the artistic milieu of Essaouira, he developed a distinctive visual vocabulary centered on expressive human figures, animals and fantastical beings. His paintings are characterized by strong colors, decorative details and a spontaneous, almost dreamlike approach to composition, reflecting both local cultural influences and his own personal imagination.
